NATIVE APP USER INTERFACE ELEMENTS
Tables
Overview
A table is created from a combination of different rows and is used to display a set of data. Oppose to typical multi-column and row tables, the mobile app table contains a single-column layout with multiple rows separated by dividers for easy scalability of the data. Tables can also contain links within the header and/or data rows. Use tables for data display and not for transactional forms.
Variations
Depending on the type of data, you can use different layouts for the table. It can also have accordion or expand collpase functionality. If there is more data to display this will help use to scan highlevel data on first glance and can expand for more details. For smaller screens, keeping data per row contained is ideal. Tables can also be used to toggle between tile and list view where there is multiple rows of data.
