Design at MetLife

We created the MetLife Global Design System to help us deliver on our commitment to build remarkable and enduring customer relationships. Think of this integrated set of standards, guidance, and resources as your design toolkit that will make it easier to create seamless customer experiences.

We built this system with our strategic business goals and various business models and channels in mind to allow us to produce digital experiences that are easy to use, delight our customers, and always look, talk, and act like MetLife. Each market is responsible for building and delivering the best experiences possible and ensuring that all design meets our standards before launch.

Adhering to the Global Design System will put us all, literally, on the same page(s) —helping us go to market faster, deliver business value, and improve results.

Standards at MetLife

Our logo, typography, color palette, and more—these are the standards that must be followed, without exception, in all digital communications and experiences. Doing so will improve design consistency and drive business efficiency. For countries where the MetLife brand has been localized, you’ll find additional guidance.

Flexibility for Creative Teams

Where there is more room for creative freedom, this site will provide guidance as both a starting point and source of creative inspiration. Every product, experience, and communication has different business requirements and fulfills different customer needs. Our core guidance will help you flex the design system to meet those needs in your market.

Resources for Digital Design

For teams creating products for the web or native mobile apps, you’ll find components, templates, and user flows to kick-start the design process. You will also find UI kits available for download. These ready-made resources will help you design cohesive experiences that meet a wide range of business requirements and user needs in different markets around the world.
